‘Feria de Tequila’ Experience

La Feria de Tequila

Tequila Feria FloatFor the very first tim, we are offering this authentic, local experience to our guests. It includes everything in our  Welcome to Tequila Experience with an added bonus: it occurs during the Feria.

What is La Feria? The Feria de Tequila is the official, traditional fair of the municipality of Tequila. Think of it as the county fair of the Tequila Valley. This is a rare opportunity to celebrate with locals, in the local way. Parades, fireworks, carnival games and rides, roving bands and carnival food, all done up in small town Mexico style.

The rancheros ride horses down from the surrounding mountains to strut their stuff, and bandas drive in from all over Western Mexico to get people’s feet moving and booties shaking. The larger tequila houses sponsor drinking tents (we’ll have our own table), and you can get up in time to confess at the village parish before we resume the distillery tours the following day.

Finally, staying over in Tequila gives us the added bonus of having a few extra hours in the day. We take advantage of this by striking out early into the agave fields on the 3rd morning.
