"Blanco Blowout" Tequila Tasting

Tuesday August 10, 8:00pm at Cha Taqueria in Portland (305 NW 21st Ave).

Blanco tequilas are the purest expression of the spirit, preserving the strongest essence of roast agave. Almost always unaged, blanco is the foundation upon which a distiller builds their other tequilas. Crafting a tasty sipping blanco is the ultimate achievement for true tequila maestro - there is no hiding flaws behind barrel aging, and all the properties of the blue agave and its unique terroir are on full display.

Blancos are true tequila drinkers' tequilas and can demonstrate an incredibly diverse range of aroma and flavors: sweet to dry, earthy to floral, creamy to citric, and beyond. The lightness and purity of blancos make them ideal summer sippers, akin to fine white wine.

Please join us for a relaxed evening of 4 excellent blancos, including a couple of rare gems you are unlikely to find elsewhere. Clayton Szczech of Experience Tequila will present each tequila and explain the growing region and production methods behind them.

This is a private event, and advance registration and payment are required. Feel free to email or call (503-841-1739) with questions. Salud!
